Abstract: The influence of environment on time-dependent behavior of reinforced concrete structures is introduced and the principal variables discusssed. Deformation due to variable stress history is described in general terms. A simplification in determining specific creep function is explored. Methods for analysis of stresses and deformation which account for time- and environment- dependent processes are outlined.
