Abstract:
The article is an overview of fiber reinforce polymer (FRP) structural strengthening research projects and practical applications that have been carried out in Portugal over the last 30 years. Topics include FRP systems for strengthening concrete beams, slabs, and columns; prestressed FRP systems; bond behavior of FRP systems; as well as durability of FRP systems, mainly long-term behavior and exposure to elevated temperatures.
