Abstract:
A Science Day program at an elementary school created an opportunity to introduce students to basic concrete technology and dealing with leftover concrete. The students watched a PowerPoint presentation and performed an experiment designed to demonstrate that a common sweetener (sugar) can keep mortar from hardening for an extended period.
