Abstract:
This TechNote provides an overview of cement-based product Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and relevant initiatives that use them to support various sustainable objectives. The goal of EPDs for cement-based products is to provide a quantitative measure for assessing the potential environmental impacts of the products over their life cycle. By detailing and quantifying these factors, EPDs specific to cement-based products provide crucial information to transition to a lower-carbon industry.
