Abstract:
The concrete surface profile (CSP) is a measure of the texture or roughness of a concrete surface. Surface preparation methods such as abrasive blasting and grinding are crucial in achieving the CSP level needed to ensure a strong bond between concrete and resinous coatings. This article highlights the advantages and limitations of abrasive blasting and diamond grinding, methods commonly used for preparing concrete surfaces.
