Abstract:
Launched in 2019, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Shotcrete Inspector Certification program was established to address the growing demand for qualified, on-site shotcrete inspection personnel. Although the program has successfully certified a diverse range of industry professionals—including concrete construction inspectors, shotcrete workers, designers, and project superintendents—the United States construction industry continues to face a critical shortage of these specialized inspectors. This article describes the program and encourages concrete professionals to join the team.
