Abstract:
This paper re-evaluates existing definitions of tensile strain hardening in ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) materials and provides practical guidance for interpreting and reporting tensile stress–strain data, including identification of key parameters relevant to structural applications. This paper provides engineers with an overview of existing methods and recommends an approach that enables objective, consistent interpretation and reporting of the UHPC tensile stress–strain curve to qualify tensile strain-hardening properties for structural applications.
