Title: Unified Interaction Diagrams for Footing Design
Author(s): Luis B. Fargier-Gabaldón
Publication: Concrete International
Appears on pages(s): 38-40
Keywords: soil, load, column, plot
Abstract:Footings transfer loads from a structure to the soil and are designed using a two-step process. This article presents graphical tools to simplify the first step. The presented approach has two clear advantages: its simplicity and its graphical nature.
