Abstract:
Available options for accelerated bridge construction (ABC) include full-depth and partial-depth precast deck panels. The Nevada Department of Transportation (DOT) recently funded a survey of other DOTs throughout the U.S. regarding application and detailing of such deck panels. Data on panel connections, deck performance, and general design considerations were collected and summarized to help develop an understanding of the current state of the technology.
