Abstract:
This is another in a series of articles on the 2016 edition of the ACI 562 Code. This article discusses load testing of existing concrete structures. It also describes a typical load test program and compares testing requirements included in ACI 437.2-13, which is referenced by the ACI 562 Code, with Chapter 27 in ACI 318-14, which is used for structures without a certificate of occupancy.
