Ahmad Mhanna, ACI MENA Director, exhibits and speaks at Big 5 Construct Saudi

The American Concrete Institute is a proud supporter of Big 5 Construct events. Today, Big 5 operates in some of the world’s most dynamic and high-growth markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Qatar, South Africa – creating access to over 300,000 construction professionals across these strategic hubs.

Big 5 Construct Saudi recently took place from 30 August - 2 September 2026. Ahmad Mhanna, ACI MENA Director, exhibited and conducted a Concrete Talks session, titled "Introduction to ACI" during the event. This session provided an overview of all ACI's offerings including certification, publications, and education. Resources reviewed included those available on the Middle East Regional Portal and supplementary resources for ACI CODE 318-25 available on the 318 Building Code Portal.

As a Supporting Association, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) played an active role in this year's program, with ACI members delivering technical sessions focused on concrete quality, durability and the application of ACI standards alongside the Saudi Building Code. Topics included reinforced concrete water structures, quality management and best practices that support safer, more resilient construction across the Kingdom.
