The ACI Ecuador Zero Latitude Chapter planning a landmark conference in Quito, Ecuador. The event marks main objectives are: the return of American Concrete Institute activities to the country after decades of absence, symbolizing renewed academic and professional collaboration between Ecuador and ACI International. The conference's central theme is Introduction to ACI 318-25 in Ecuador and Revision of ACI 562 , Seismic Performance and Rehabilitation of Structures. Given Ecuador's significant seismic exposure, and reinforced by recent earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia, the program aims to update local structural codes and practices by combining the newest ACI 318-25 design provisions with the ACI 562 framework for evaluating and rehabilitating existing structures.
