Meeting: Technical sessions on “Performance Evaluation, Durability Assessment, and Rehabilitation of Concrete Bridges and Structures” during the ACI Fall Convention, October 24-27, 2027, Orlando, FL, sponsored by ACI Committee 345 (Concrete Bridge Construction and Preservation) and 342 (Evaluation of Concrete Bridges and Bridge Elements).

Synopsis and objective of the session: The special sessions will focus on the performance, durability, and rehabilitation of concrete bridges and structures. Of interest are presentations concerning a wide variety of technical aspects from laboratory experiments to field applications. Specific subjects include destructive and nondestructive evaluation techniques for reinforced and prestressed concrete members, durability considerations, state-of-the-art rehabilitation methods, strategies for sustainable design and construction, and practical approaches to help engineering professionals maintain serviceability and strength requirements. Case studies are considered appropriate. The sessions will bring to light recent research findings and best practices, and will provide an opportunity to discuss present challenges and technical demands. The sessions will benefit those who lead the design and construction of bridges and structures toward resilient built-environments. An ACI SP will be published.
