Course Scope
Prepare students for the ACI Certification Exam covering the following ASTM Standard Test Methods:
C 1064 Temperature of Freshly Mixed Portland-Cement Concrete
C 172 Sampling Freshly Mixed Concrete
C 143 Slump of Hydraulic Cement Concrete
C 138 Unit Weight, Yield, And Air Content of Concrete
C 231 Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by Pressure Method
C 173 Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by Volumetric Method
C 31 Making and Curing Concrete Test Specimens in the Field


Course Outline
1st Night (University of New Orleans)
• Introduction and distribution of study manual CP-1(40th or 41st edition) and class handouts
• View and discuss videotape demonstrating procedures for performing field tests
• Discuss study questions and test taking techniques

2nd Night (Carlo Ditta, Inc.)
• Demonstration of field tests and hands on practice

Cancellation Policy: you must cancel 4 days prior to class to receive a 100% refund there after full fee will be forfeited. This class is not mandatory and is independent of aci International & the aci Louisiana Chapter.
