On May 1, 2021 ACI joined more than 30 industry groups as a signatory to a letter regarding the Bipartisan Budget Act and the Disaster Recovery Reform Act, promoting the adoption and application of modern building codes. The letter, addressed to the Speaker of the House, House Minority Leader, Senate Majority Leader, and Senate Minority Leader specifically request the use of current building codes and standards for infrastructure development in improvements. Becoming a signer of the letter specifically aligned with ACI’s position statements, notably current code and standard adoption, construction volume, public good, and resiliency.
