The American Concrete Institute was recently featured on the AASHTO re:source Q & A Podcast to discuss the opening of new ACI Resource Centers and how ACI chapters and sponsoring groups play a pivotal role in delivering industry-leading certification programs. From the multi-faceted approach ACI Resources Centers take in delivering ACI knowledge to industry professionals, to the process of creating new certification programs and sponsoring groups, the episode provides a closer look at how the Institute and its volunteers are meeting the demand for increased access to ACI offerings. Michael Morrison, Manager, Certification Program Development, American Concrete Institute, spoke on the opportunity for ACI Resource Centers strategically located throughout the U.S. to provide immediate access to ACI certification, education, and hands-on training for the construction industry. He also discussed the many ways in which ACI Chapters have made an impact on their local communities and the concrete industry as a result of offering certification programs. From scholarship offerings to community service projects, ACI certification is making the world a better place. “ACI certification has been providing industry-leading credentials for nearly 40 years, and decades of history and collaboration have enabled the Institute to certify more than half a million craftsmen, technicians, and inspectors” said Morrison. “We are pleased to be featured on the re:source Q & A Podcast and hope listeners come away with a better understanding of how ACI certification is always advancing.” The episode, “Sitting Down with the American Concrete Institute (ACI)” was released on March 30, 2021, and is available here.
