The American Concrete Institute recently participated in the World of Concrete tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV, USA. World of Concrete is held annually and boasted over 60,000 attendees last month. This popular tradeshow focuses on products, resources, and information directly related to the concrete industry. The four-day event features nearly 800,000 square-feet of exhibition space, education sessions, and certification events. ACI unveiled the new Fourth Edition of the Contractor’s Guide to Quality Concrete Construction at this year’s show. This best-selling guide was created in partnership with the American Society of Concrete Contractors and is now available in printed and digital formats. Written by and for contractors, and referenced by many licensing authorities, this guide details proven practices to produce quality concrete construction. During the show, ACI launched its new Concrete Repair Subscription, providing twelve months of access to ACI’s existing concrete repair-specific code requirements/commentary, specifications, guides, reports, symposium volumes, and ACI University on-demand courses. 14 ACI Certification events were also held during this year’s World of Concrete in partnership with the ACI Las Vegas Chapter and other professional organizations. Additionally, ACI fielded questions and promoted the importance of ACI certification throughout the show. “World of Concrete provides an excellent opportunity for us to work alongside the local chapter and national organizations in providing a wide range of certification events,” stated John W. Nehasil, Managing Director of Certification, American Concrete Institute. “World of Concrete also gives us the opportunity to talk with individuals currently certified by ACI or those considering certification. ACI certification serves a critical role in the construction process.” Participating at World of Concrete helps ACI establish and expand strong and productive relationships with organizations and individuals. ACI will attend next year’s World of Concrete tradeshow taking place February 3-7, 2020 and offer discounted registration. The event will again be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, USA.
