More than 10,000 followers have “liked” the American Concrete Institute (ACI) on its Facebook page, the Institute announces.
Since launching in early 2008, ACI has worked to promote its Facebook page to members of all aspects of the concrete industry, including engineers, architects, contractors, students, educators, government officials, etc. Additionally, those who have “liked” ACI on Facebook come from all over the world. In fact, about 3,000 members hail from the U.S., while the other 7,000+ come from other countries. Besides the U.S. the top five countries represented on ACI’s Facebook page are Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Mexico.
“ACI recognizes the importance of expanding and maintaining its presence on social networking platforms,” said Ron Burg, ACI Executive Vice President. “By offering the opportunity to connect with the Institute over Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, ACI is now more accessible than ever, no matter where in the world you live, with just a click of the mouse.”
ACI members, customers, and others who are interested in concrete have the opportunity to connect with the Institute through LinkedIn and Twitter, in addition to Facebook. Currently, over 6,000 people are members of ACI’s group discussion page on Linkedin, and over 300 are following ACI on Twitter. Connecting with ACI on one or all of these social network platforms ensures timely updates on ACI’s products, services, events, technical discussions, photos, and other industry news.
