Description:
The Darwin Bridges are World’s First Bridges Built of Concrete and Recycled Glass Powder. This webinar will discuss the theory and application of recycled ground glass powder (GGP) in concrete. The presentation will be divided into two parts.

To start, Professor Arezki Tagnit-Hamou from the Université de Sherbrooke will provide an overview of the use of GGP in concrete including the material science and theoretical basis for the technology.

Following that, Étienne Cantin Bellemare and Sacha Dumeignil from the City of Montreal will summarize the application of this technology in the recently completed Darwin Bridge project – the world’s first bridge structure using concrete with recycled glass powder.
