Learn about cellular concrete and new applications involving: cement and foam technologies; CO2 impact reduction; permeability; and modeling of mechanical properties. A diverse group of presenters from manufacturers, industry group representative and a design practitioner.
Learning Objectives:
(1) Discuss the current standard of practice of cellular concrete applications and understand what cellular concrete is;
(2) Investigate common applications of cellular concrete as a lightweight insulating concrete;
(3) Identify environmental benefits of cellular concrete;
(4) Explain the common application of cellular concrete as a engineered fill material.

The relationship between cellular concrete density and key mechanical and physical properties such as compressive strength, stiffness, shear strength and thermal conductivity will be presented. Finally, the impact of the use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) on the mechanical and physical properties of cellular concrete will be described.
