EPDACI Student Beam Competition

Description:
Challenge:
Design and construct a concrete beam (spanning 3’-0” and reinforced with #3 bars) to fail as close as possible to an ultimate midspan concentrated load of 6,000 pounds.

Prizes:
First Prize: $1,500
Second Prize: $1,000
Third Prize: $500

Eligibility:
Undergraduate students enrolled at any college or university.
