Description:
Two 2 hour oral presentation sessions entitled Open Topic Sessions at the ACI Spring 2026 Concrete Convention (Rosemont Chicago, IL, USA), sponsored by ACI Committee 123 Research and Current Developments

Solicited:
The purpose of this session is to offer authors & speakers an open forum for presentation of recent technical information that does not fit into other sessions scheduled for this convention. Any aspect of structural analysis or design, concrete materials science, or construction, manufacturing, use, and maintenance and health monitoring of concrete structures and products can be presented. Research with preliminary results should be submitted to Research in Progress (RiP) session. Typical presentation time is 20 minutes for oral presentations.

Submission Requirements:
1. Presenter details (name, title, affiliation, and contact information)
2. Presentation title
3. Preference for oral or poster presentation
4. Abstract (no more than 250 words)
5. Must use the provided template and provide the information requested above along with 1 figure.

Submission Guidelines: Please carefully review the following guidelines before submitting your abstract to the Open Topic Session (OTS)

1. Deadline Submit by midnight (EST), January 10, 2026.

2. Please note that the Open Topic Sessions (OTS) are intended for late-stage or near-complete research; Research in Progress (RiP) sessions are intended for ongoing or in-progress work with preliminary results - select the appropriate session for submitting your work. Duplicate submissions to OTS and RiP will not be considered in either session

3. Restrictions: Submissions of previously published work will be rejected. Submitting the same work to other meetings or sessions will result in rejection.

4. Other: Poster presentation selections (if opted) will be made at the committee’s discretion if not chosen for oral presentations. Student posters are eligible for a judged competition
