Description

These two web sessions, “Adhesive Anchors: Requirement for Their Reliable Use in Concrete Construction,” and “Effect of Environmental Exposure on the Creep Behavior of Adhesive Anchors,” from the ACI Spring 2010 Convention in Chicago, IL, provide information on applications, systems, prequalification tests, and characteristics affecting bond strength of adhesive anchors as well as results of environmental creep behavior studies. Chapter 4, “Preparing the Hole” excerpted from CP-80(12) “Adhesive Anchor Installer Workbook” covers the procedure of preparing the hole for anchor installation; this is an important installation step to ensure a reliable installation. This course is not a certification program. It is further information on installation of adhesive anchors. For certification information go to: www.concrete.org/certification.
