Abstract:

The common shallow umbrella, made of four pieces of hyberbolic paraboloid with their Z axes in a vertical position, has proven to be a handy and economical solution for covering large industrial areas, where substantial reuse of wooden formwork can easily be achieved. (Fig 7-1)
