The 2019 ACI Concrete Construction Competition winners solved the construction problem: “Scheduling of a Residential Development in Extreme Weather Conditions.” The winning teams include: 1st Place – Middle Tennessee State University [USA] 2nd Place – Howard University [USA] 3rd Place – Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León [Mexico] Responses were judged based on clarity, technical quality, and economy. The judges were appointed by the Construction Liaison Committee. The teams are typically invited to present their findings during the committee’s spring meeting at the ACI Concrete Convention. The competition is conducted in the fall and is open to undergraduate teams pursuing degrees in construction engineering, construction management, and construction technology. ACI is currently accepting submissions for the Concrete Projects Competition and the Competition Travel Stipend Program. The deadline to participate is June 2 and June 30, 2020 respectively.
