Description: Cold weather concrete is a concern for the constructor and the owner alike. This webinar will review updates to ACI 306R-16, “Guide to Cold Weather Concreting.” This document provides assistance in judging the appropriate actions and precautions for cold weather construction. The second presentation will provide a contractor perspective on field applications for cold weather concreting.

Part 2: Cold Weather Concrete: Research on Placement and Early-Age Behavior

Description: This webinar will review research on the placement of concrete on cold surfaces and address the practice of heating formwork and reinforcement prior to placement. The second presentation will present information on the response of concrete exposed to cold temperatures at early ages.
