TO HOST PRESS CONFERENCE AND LAUNCH EVENT FOR 318-08 RELEASE
ACI president to speak at press
conference during World of Concrete
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Jan. 16, 2008) - The American Concrete Institute announces its press conference and launch event for the release of ACI 318-08, “Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary,” to take place during World of Concrete next week.
The event will be held on Thurs., Jan. 24, 2008 from noon to 12:45 p.m. in Room N251 of the Las Vegas Convention Center, located at 3150 Paradise Rd.
David Darwin, president of ACI, along with ACI managing director Douglas Sordyl and engineering editor Mike Tholen will be on-hand to present 318 history and influence, and to outline the changes readers can expect to find in the updated code. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Attendees will be provided with a light lunch and press kits.
