Faculty   

Two of the following will be your instructors:

James Peter Barlow, FACI, President, Contech Group, Inc., Seattle, WA, Mr. Barlow is a contractor specializing in concrete strengthening, repair, and waterproofing in the western states. Mr. Barlow has been a member of ACI for over 20 years and actively participates on the Construction Liaison Committee (CLC), ACI 224 Cracking; and ACI 546, Concrete Repair. He is also a member of ICRI, EERI, and the Structural Engineers Association of Washington and Idaho.

Bruce A. Collins, Vice President of Business Development, Restruction Corporation, Sedalia, CO, Mr. Collins has over 16 years of concrete repair experience. He has been involved in over 500 repair projects including segmental bridges, airport runways, dams, and buildings. Mr. Collins has published extensively in the industry, including articles in ENR Magazine and the Concrete Repair Bulletin.

James P. Donnelly, PE, Consultant, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Chicago, IL. Mr. Donnelly has had extensive experience on a wide variety of structural investigations and repair of concrete structures. He is a member of ACI, PTI, and ASCE, and serves on ACI 362, Parking Structures; and ACI 423, Prestressed Concrete. Mr. Donnelly is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky, and a registered structural engineer in Illinois.

Paul E. Gaudette, FACI, Consultant, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., Chicago, IL. He has been involved in a wide range of investigations and repair of concrete structures. Mr. Gaudette is a member of ACI 364, Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures; ACI 437, Strength Evaluation of Existing Structures; and ACI 546, Repair of Concrete. Mr. Gaudette also has served as course leader and instructor for several Association for Preservation Technology courses on repair of historic concrete.

James E. McDonald, PE, FACI, FICRI, Consultant, McDonald Consulting, Clinton, MS. Retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers in 2003 where he was involved in a wide range of concrete evaluation and repair projects for more than 40 years. Mr. McDonald is a member of the ACI TAC Repair and Rehabilitation Committee, former Chair of 546, Concrete Repair, and a member of ACI 364, Rehabilitation. Mr. McDonald is also a Charter Member and Past President of the International Concrete Repair Institute.

Myles (Tony) A. Murray, PE, FACI, M A M LLC Consultants, Sedalia, CO, Mr. Murray is Founder and President Emeritus of Restruction Corp., Sedalia, CO. Mr. Murray is a leading authority on structural repair systems and concrete repair materials and is a worldwide consultant in developing engineering and construction solutions for deteriorating structures. Mr. Murray is Chair ACI 563, Specifications for Repair of Structural Concrete in Buildings, former Chair of ACI 546, Repair of Concrete, Member of ACI 548, Polymer and Polymer Adhesives for Concrete, and Technical Activities Committee on Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete. Mr. Murray is on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the International Congress on Polymers in Concrete is also a Life member of ASCE.

Michael M. Sprinkel, PE, FACI, FASCE is Associate Director for the Virginia Transportation Research Council, Charlottesville, Virginia where he has served in various positions since 1972. He currently manages the Materials Research Program. His research interests include materials and construction methods for the protection, repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures. He is a registered professional engineer in Virginia. He is Chair of ACI 503, Adhesives for Concrete, and past Chair of ACI 345, Bridge Construction, Maintenance and Repair. He is a Member of ACI 546, Repair of Concrete; ACI 548, Polymers in Concrete; and TRRC’s Technical Repair and Rehabilitation Committee. He is an Emeritus member of TRB and Chair of the Concrete Materials Committee.
