Expand I lost/damaged my wallet card/certificate. Can I order replacement credentials?)

Yes, you may purchase a new wallet card and certificate for $10. Please submit a Credential Replacement Order Form to ACI for processing. Accepted forms of payment include VISA, MasterCard, check, or money order. Please note that only credit card orders can be faxed.

   
Expand I never received my credentials. Where are they?

We strive to have certification exams processed and graded between 7 and 10 business days after receiving them from the examiner. If it has been more than 4 weeks, it is possible the U.S. Postal Service was unable to deliver your credentials due to a bad address. Please contact ACI to verify your address. We might be missing a house or apartment number on your record.

Expand I failed the written portion of the exam. What do I do now?

You will need to retest on the written exam if you would like to be ACI certified. A good idea might be to read over the sections and standards you did not pass the first time around.  Then, you will need to register with your Sponsoring Group or Prometric to retest.

Expand What’s my ID number?

You will need to submit a Certification Identification Number Request Form to receive your personal ID number.

   
Expand I have the workbook that I studied from when I got certified in 2000. Can I use the same workbook to study for my upcoming test?

Unfortunately, as the industry changes, we update our workbooks to represent these changes. All current exam questions are based on the information provided in the newest workbook version. You will need to get the newest book to be on track with the tests that are being offered. Find the workbook you need at the ACI Bookstore.

   
Expand My name is misspelled on my certificate and wallet card. How can I get this fixed?

Please submit a Name Change Request Form to ACI. When we receive the form, we will correct this problem and re-mail your credential.

   
Expand How do I order another hardhat sticker?

You may purchase up to two (2) additional hardhat stickers for $3.00 each. Please submit a Credential Replacement Order Form with payment.

   
Expand I moved; how do I change my address with ACI?

Expand If I get certified in one state and move, is my certification still good?

Yes, ACI certifications are recognized and valid worldwide.

   
Expand I received a Certification expiration notice in the mail. What do I do now?

We send out two versions of this notice; a 12 month letter and a six month postcard. If you would like to renew your Certification, please contact your Sponsoring Group.

   
Expand I’m supposed to attend an exam session next week, but I need to reschedule or postpone it. Who do I need to talk to about this?

You will need to contact your Sponsoring Group and ask them if this is something they can arrange.
