ACI Chapter Scholarships

Many ACI Chapters offer scholarships for eligible students both within the U.S., as well as internationally. The information on this page will be updated frequently to reflect new scholarships being offered by ACI Chapters throughout the year. These scholarships are administered entirely by the respective ACI Chapter, and are not affiliated with ACI Foundation Fellowships and Scholarships.

Current ACI Chapter Scholarships

Alabama Chapter

The ACI Alabama Chapter in Birmingham offers scholarships each year to local students recently graduating high school, attending college, or attending graduate school.  Please contact Dan Green at dgreen@natcem.com for more information.

Atlantic Chapter, Canada

The ACI Atlantic Chapter offers scholarships to students attending Atlantic Canada universities and are in graduate study of concrete research or concrete construction. For more information on the scholarship, please contact Donald Burden at donald.burden@jacqueswhitford.com.

Florida First Coast Chapter

The Florida First Coast Chapter will be awarding a $1000 scholarship to University of North Florida students studying civil engineering and/or construction. For more information, contact Pam Cowden at p.cowden@aespj.com.

Greater Miami Valley Chapter

The Greater Miami Valley ACI Chapter offers scholarships to students in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky who attend the University of Dayton, Cincinnati State University, Ohio College of Applied Sciences, University of Cincinnati (College of Engineering), and Northern Kentucky University. Houston Chapter

The Houston Chapter of ACI has established the Dr. Shondeep Sarkar Memorial Scholarship at Texas A&M University in honor of its past president. The endowed scholarship will provide individual scholarships of $1,250 each to two full-time students (junior or senior) in civil engineering who have demonstrated an interest in cement and concrete technology. Illinois Chapter

The Illinois ACI Chapter awards a scholarship annually. Please visit www.aciillinois.com for more information and an application.

Missouri Chapter

The Missouri Chapter gives two scholarships a year to students studying at universities within the chapter. More information can be obtained by contacting Patrick Earney at pearney@thhinc.com.

New Mexico Chapter

The New Mexico ACI Chapter has scholarships for students attending the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University. If you are a student at one of these universities, and would like more information on the scholarships and how to apply, please contact Bill Barringer at Joy2Bill@aol.com.

Pittsburgh Area Chapter

Quebec and Eastern Ontario Chapter, Canada

San Diego Chapter

The San Diego Chapter of ACI offers scholarships to local engineering students. The scholarship program is currently open for 2010. Please click here for information and application.

American Shotcrete Association (ASA) Graduate Scholarship

The American Shotcrete Association (ASA) is offering two $3,000 scholarships to graduate students studying a concrete-related field at an accredited college or university inside the U.S. or at Laval University in Canada.  For more information and to apply, please visit www.shotcrete.org/ASAscholarships.htm

 

Portland Cement Association (PCA) Research Fellowship

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) Education Foundation offers a Research Fellowship Program to identify and attract outstanding candidates in the field of engineering and the physical sciences and provide them with the necessary support to complete their studies. PCA offers fellowships in the following areas:

Cement Manufacturing
Concrete Technology
Residential
Public Works
Masonry
Engineered Structures

Innovative projects in other areas of cement and concrete technology will also be considered.

CRSI Education & Research Foundation Scholarship Programs

The CRSI Education & Research Foundation is offering two types of scholarship programs to students seeking their degrees in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or in a related educational program.

The Employee and Industry Scholarship program is available for full-time employees of member companies of CRSI, as well as children and spouses of full-time employees of member companies, and CRSI staff.

The Undergraduate Scholarship program is available to senior-level students majoring in Civil or Architectural Engineering, and seeking their Bachelors (BS) Degree.
