Abstract:
The new West 7th Street Bridge in Fort Worth, TX, will replace its 100-year-old predecessor with a unique design that offers much more pedestrian access. The bridge will have four lanes and two pedestrian/bicycle paths outside the twelve precast arches. The construction method used for this project is expected to result in only five months of bridge closure, compared to a typical twelve months or more using traditional methods.
