Abstract:

The Onondaga Litholite Co. has been engaged in the manufacture of high-grade cast stone for over twenty years, which is about the length of time that cast stone has been sold. Looking back over that period, we can recognize some of the mistakes that have been made. It seems that perhaps the greatest mistake made was the education of the architect to the use of cast stone as a substitute for natural stone.
