ACI Fall 2008 Convention—Making Literacy More Concrete!
Illiteracy is a growing problem in the United States with more than 50 million individuals unable to read at a basic level. In an effort to fight illiteracy, ACI will be conducting a book drive during the ACI Fall 2008 Convention in St. Louis. Our goal is to collect 500 books!
ACI is asking that each attendee bring a new or gently used children's book, grades K-12, to the convention. Book donations can be made in the exhibit area at the Renaissance Grand & Suites Hotel from November 1-5, during open exhibit hours. Following the book drive, the collected books will be donated to local schools in the St. Louis area.
