A: Sessions, the Opening Session & Awards Program, Opening Reception, exhibits, registration, ACI Bookstore, and most committee meetings will be held
at the Duke Energy Convention Center. Additional committee meetings will be held at the Millennium Hotel.
A: Check your e-mail at the ACI Cyber Café or bring your own laptop and use the FREE wireless hotspots in the exhibit area.

A: Yes, all registered convention attendees and exhibitors may attend committee meetings listed in the convention program book.
Q: How do I join an ACI Technical Committee?
A: If you are attending a committee meeting, ask the Committee Chair for an application from the red folder located on the table in the meeting room.
Alternatively, visit http://www.concrete.org/COMMITTEES/COM_JOIN.asp and complete the
application.
Q: Can I attend the technical sessions?
A: Yes, all registered convention attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to attend the sessions throughout the week.
Q: Are session handouts available?
A: Yes, session handouts will be available on the ACI Web site beginning October 14, 2011 through November 14, 2011.
Q: Is a speaker-ready room available?
A: A speaker-ready room will be available to session moderators, speakers, and committee chairs.

A: The speaker-ready room will be open the following hours:

A: The speaker-ready room will be located at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
Q: Does ACI offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for participation in sessions and committee meetings?
A: At this time, ACI is not offering CEUs for participation in convention sessions and committee meetings; however, attendees may earn Professional
Development Hours (PDHs) by completing the Session Attendance Tracking Form found in their convention program book and submitting to state boards that
accept self-reporting.
Q: What networking opportunities are there during the convention?
A: There are numerous networking events during the convention, including the Opening Reception (Sunday 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.), Student and Young
Professional Networking Event (Sunday 9:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), Women in ACI Reception (Monday 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.), and Concrete Mixer (6:00 p.m. - 9:00
p.m.).
Q: Can my children attend the networking events?
A: Only registered guests or attendees may attend convention events.

A: Exhibits will be open during the following hours:

A: If you are a speaker only coming for the day to make your presentation, you do not need to register. Please note: You will NOT receive a name badge or other convention materials.

A: $162.00 + tax.

A: The Millennium Hotel has a business center. Please note: fees may apply.

A: The Millennium Hotel has a fitness center. Please note: fees may apply.
Q: Does the hotel have Internet access in the guest rooms and are there any fees?
A: The Millennium has wired Internet access in the guest rooms for $7.95 per day.
Q: What is the cost for a taxi to and from the airport?
A: Taxi cabs are available outside each terminal at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The flat rates for a taxi to and from the Millennium Hotel is $27.00 each way.

Q: I need a letter of invitation to obtain a visa. Can you help me?
A: Request your letter of invitation from ACI Event Services. Provide your full name, mailing address, and e-mail address. E-mail us at conventions@concrete.org. Note: ACI is unable to provide financial assistance.
Q: How far in advance should I request a letter of invitation to obtain a visa?
A: ACI recommends requesting a letter of invitation and your visa, six (6) months prior to each convention.
Q: Will ACI submit my letter of invitation directly to the consulate?
A: ACI will send all letters of invitation directly to the individual requesting the letter. Individuals must submit the letter to their consulate.
Q: Will ACI provide financial support?
A: Unfortunely ACI is unable to provide financial assistance to attendees.
